I bought this 82 240d from a member on here named garage.
the plans are to repower and do some offroad suspension and have some fun.
It came with a aux tank in the trunk and 1/4 tank of some bio diesel.
The om616 seizes a few min after I get it started.
The day I picked it up.

dude one of us needs to make a total mad max benz. it's been a burning desire of mine for a long time. my car is off the table for that though, wayyyyyyyyyyy too clean to jack up.
i'm thinking hood stacks, welded up window grates, lots of driving lights, super roof rack like my wagon one, big tires like captain's red car, crazy paint job like flat black and patina, etc.

Remote mount the radiator in the trunk, cut louvers, add electric fans.

Dude put a 500 or 560 in it. I bet you can find a cheap one at the yards with decent compression.

I totally think the way the engine sits is perfect. All you need to do is weld on tube steel engine mounts, install the radiator in the stock location remove the hood and get a couple of u-joints for the driveshaft! haha
