injection pump - gilp42 - 03-07-2011 well spring is right around the corner so i want to uncover the ol' benz and get it ready for summer but like everything else i own it needs some tlc. i need a rad, a starter and seems to be injection pump as well. i cant find a rad for a 79 300sd so i think im just going to take measurements and get one from a newer one, and rebuilt starters ive seen for sale before.. but the injection pump leaks around the primer, would it be cheaper/ or even an option to get the seals and rebuild my self or where can i find an already rebuilt pump.. once i get this stuff fixed ill be back for some performance know how thanks everyone! RE: injection pump - ForcedInduction - 03-07-2011 Why don't you just replace the leaking seal? RE: injection pump - 300D50 - 03-07-2011 $5 seal, $1500 pump. Choice is obvious. RE: injection pump - DeliveryValve - 03-07-2011 Not having to try this yet, but I do think a 300D turbo/w126 300SD Radiator and Oil cooler combination will fit with some modifications to the mounting. . RE: injection pump - gilp42 - 03-07-2011 i wasnt sure you could jsut buy the seal but thanks for straighting that out for me you guys probablly jsut saved me a crapload of money lol RE: injection pump - ForcedInduction - 03-08-2011 http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/WC/6184-01019339.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_term=1977-1985+Mercedes+300D+Primer+Pump+Gasket+OES+Genuine+77-85+Mercedes+Primer+Pump+Gasket+1982+1983&utm_content=YN&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base $3.76 |
