Yours will work, but I've never really trusted spring compressors with so few contact points. Springs store a LOT of energy when compressed. On th front I had a friend who didn't listen to me, I believe he still hasn't patched the roof there the bolt went through when the threads failed. I don't have either one, but the hook style was tempting at around $25.
