The compressor wheel looks the same but the housing is different from the one forced was selling. I tried looking up that part number but I couldn't find anything.

Definitely not a 2056.
Yea I'm with you wtf do I know either, maybe we're assuming because of what looks like an electronic actutator for a vnt maybe its something else

it says it comes from an ml320
but is there also an
ml320 cdi ?
I have no idea about the lineup

The 320 is a CDI, if it was a gasser it would be N/A.
The link you posted is not correct, conventional GT2052 is a wastegate turbo, but in this engine there is a vnt turbo (the "v" in the end of the name, gt2052V)
