Rack and pinion steering in a W123? - fha772 - 05-26-2011 Hi all, I just have a few questions, about my W123 280E trackcar project. My questions are: Has anyone fitted rack and pinion steering to their W123? If so, what steering rack have you used? and, how did you do it? OR, Has anyone fitted a higher ratio steering box? If so, what was it off? I want to quicken the steering. and make it more responsive. I don't want to fit a steering quickening box, because I won't be able to have the car road-legal with 1 fitted. That's all for now, many thanks Frank. PS, what ever car you suggest, must have been available in RHD RE: Rack and pinion steering in a W123? - winmutt - 05-26-2011 There is a guy. bfj* or something like that with a american gasser engine and a mustang rack and pinion steering in his car.
