Injection Pump Noise - BSharp - 08-15-2011
My 87 190D Turbo with an OM602 seems to have a noise coming from the rear portion of the IP. It has 230K miles and have been running B100 for the last 5 months or so. I can put a long extension up to my ear and it I put it on the rear part of the IP I can hear what sounds like a rattle or slight ticking. It also seems to have a slight miss at idle every once in a while. Not sure if they are related. Any ideas?

Broken governor or thrown bearings? I would take the back off and look in there with the oil out (check oil for debris).
