OM605 Timing Marks - dcm - 09-17-2011 Just looking for some info on the timing marks for a OM605 engine. I have the crank at 0, the two marks on the cams across from each other so the pin fits it. However the engine locks up when trying the turn it by hand? Car is a 99 C250, everything standard. Any help appreciated. RE: OM605 Timing Marks - dcm - 09-19-2011 Here’s a picture of the autodata instructions, everything is aligned as the diagram shows. 1st cylinder up when the crank is at 0, the two punch marks together and the pin through the carrier. I can’t turn the engine over by hand, the 5th piston seems to hit the valves. |
