Yes I have experience of them.
7 mm, The old Ford Transit element. Its good for maximum 120cc of fuel.
No retard notch for ignition at low idle.
Works, but there are better things on the market if you want performance.

would you happen to know what the bosch part # for those transit elements are?
I did draw a solidworks cad model of my own design of 7mm element with a steap helix, a retard notch, large intake port. Was thinking about having a run made A friend of mine is in china and has access to a factory that produces them but they will only do a run of 200 or more. Another friend is Giles from Performance Diesel Injection and is quite eager to play with a pump. Any other improvements that anyone could think of to the actual element please feel free to add.
On a side note Giles is well known in the VW diesel community for his monstorous VE rotary pumps. I know that the Sanyoung Musso came with an MB 2.9 OM series with a VE pump I wonder if I could get a hold of one of those IP adapeters and have him build me a Rotary pump for my 603.
