Weird intake manifold - Simpler=Better - 01-13-2012
What do you guys think of this intake manifold? Supposedly from a '78 300D

Could it complete with a W115 intake?

I have one like that. And I saw another one at the pick n pull. Still havent tried to install it due to $, time, weather.
I hope the snail will fit between those runners.
I pulled mine out of 79-80 na 300d, I think not the sd just d.
Does that seem right?

Sounds right to me!
I ordered bot the intake and exhaust manifolds. $150 for "long-runners", I couldn't build them for that cheap.

Man, I got my intake one for like $11.
Didnt take the exhaust cause it was not gonna be set for a turbo and my exhaust.
Need to plump a boost sensor line into that place where the rubber 90 is at.

I couldn't find a W115 intake so I went with this guy. If a w115 pops up later I'll definitely grab it

i got first manifold u guys posted, w123 na manifold off of 77-79 300d. Any ideas on how to get it to clear ANY turbo? Any one know how to modify an exhaust manifold to lower the t3 flange?

An offset flange can angle the turbo downward, shouldn't be too hard to mill. Just watch your clearances on the fender wall.
I'm planning on routing the turbo up near the alternator in my build
