W123 lowering springs - Robert_UAH - 03-30-2012 So I was under the impression that H&R made springs for the W123 but going to their website I can't find anything for a W123. So does that leaves Spax as the only the supplier of lowering springs for these cars? Does anyone have a set of the springs laying around they can measure? RE: W123 lowering springs - w123star - 03-31-2012 In Europe there is more suppliers, try searching german ebay www.ebay.de and search for "tieferlegungsfedern + w123" I dont know if they ship overseas. You could cut them- we did this for racing and it worked well. RE: W123 lowering springs - Captain America - 04-01-2012 I cut mine and they work great. Car handles much better also. RE: W123 lowering springs - sassparilla_kid - 04-01-2012 Wouldn't the springs be softer when they're cut? RE: W123 lowering springs - Kozuka - 04-01-2012 No it increases the spring rate when you cut them. RE: W123 lowering springs - sassparilla_kid - 04-01-2012 So they are shorter and stiffer? Welp I guess mine need a little cutting then lol RE: W123 lowering springs - Robert_UAH - 04-02-2012 There are people like QA1 and Hyperco that have tons of different spring sizes and rates and I am kinda wondering if there are any of these that fit... RE: W123 lowering springs - capflya - 04-04-2012 Lopped off 1.5 coils in the front on my car and it is much stiffer now (insert thats what she said joke here). May just be the shocks since they're compressed more than they should be at "rest" but I don't really care because it handles a lot better now haha. RE: W123 lowering springs - w123love - 04-04-2012 Has anybody heard of these guys? PI Lowering Springs for W123 |
