Rust proofing - sassparilla_kid - 05-15-2012

I just saw this commercial on television, seems like this stuff would work pretty well for spraying the bottom of the car, at least in rust prone areas. I'm sure one could probably find something similar for less money, or maybe not, I don't know. My brain is on overdrive tonight, I keep coming up with all of these ideas and I can't tell if they're any good or not Huh. The moral of the story is no more espresso after 6 o'clock Rolleyes

That stuff has been around for years,in fact the same lame script in the ad has been around for years,so long it has sprouted hairs.
You would get the same effect by spraying the underside of your mercedes with PVC ...oh wait ,what is that underneath all Mercedes since 1960???Big Grin

I do the rustcheck stuff yearly. Seems to work pretty well, just a mix of some kind of biodegradable oil, and or other crap. Certainly works keeping corrosion down though from winter salt and snow. 100 bucks or something, do it every year on my cargo van, and other winter vehicles.

On the van, the PO did it too, and for an 89 thats been used every single winter for 25 years as a work vehicle, its got no rust on it, which is something.
