RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - benztek - 07-11-2009 Has anyone tried this? That is my plan on the SD. I want to black the whole car out. I can save some money by doing all of my chrome with this stuff, If it works!!! RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - Motorhead - 07-12-2009 I like it on a dark car, I still have yet to pick a color for my CD. RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - CID Vicious - 11-14-2009 It definitely delivers the 'modern Euro' look in spades, and the cool thing is that it peels off if you want to switch back. Can't see a downside - try it, if you don't like it, you just gotta spend an afternoon peeling it back off (better than stripping, sanding, or buying replacement parts, though). RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - Rudolf_Diesel - 11-15-2009 I did this on my bundts and it looks pretty good - left the lugs bolts and caps chrome as well as the lip RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - willbhere4u - 11-15-2009 take some pics RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - Rudolf_Diesel - 11-15-2009 (11-15-2009, 04:36 PM)willbhere4u take some pics RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - willbhere4u - 11-15-2009 that looks really good!!! I like the chrome center! RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - winmutt - 11-16-2009 That really doesn't look shabby at all. Lets see how it holds up. RE: Blacking out on the cheap. - Rudolf_Diesel - 11-16-2009 I painted the rims about two months ago, it was a really quick job. So far they have held up, but a bump against the plasti-dip will tear it. I just did as a test, but so far so good. |
