1975 OM617 - Simpler=Better - 09-06-2012 I picked up a "junk but I might be able to get it running" 617 from a '75 last night. Yes I'm keeping the intake & M-pump ![]() It looks like the alternator adjuster is superior to my '82, and the thermostat housing looks much easier to work with. The '75 will be going into an old Allis Chalmers. The stock engine was a gas I4, 35hp, redlined around 2,500. It should be interesting with a 75hp diesel turning 4,000 ![]() Is there anything else I should grab for my '82 motor? Can I swap the '75s M pump for my '82 MW pump? |
