Boost pressure 8.5 PSI, how do I increase? - tazulica - 10-25-2012 My engine is pulled from a '79 300SD. Today I installed a new boost gauge and the maximum pressure read is 8.5 PSI. I removed the ALDA seal and turned the screw 1 1/2 CCW until it stopped (it wouldn't turn more than that). I drove the car again and the boost is the same. Is there any other way to increase it another 3-4 PSI? Thanks! RE: Boost pressure 8.5 PSI, how do I increase? - aaa - 10-25-2012 Pinch the wastegate hose shut as a test for whether the wastegate needs adjusting.
