Vacuum Pump Delete question - stomis - 05-08-2013 Om617. Project will have hydroboost brakes so I have no need for vacuum. I was curious if I needed to add some sort of polished bolt to keep tension on the IP timing gear to mimic the pressure the vacuum pump normally places on it OR if theres no issue with that end play that occurs with no vacuum pump in place. RE: Vacuum Pump Delete question - Simpler=Better - 05-09-2013 You will be just fine-there were (incredibly rare) marine 617s that came with a blockoff plate instead of a vacuum pump. The plate is available from Germany for something insane like $465. I just gutted my dead pump to weld up a cover RE: Vacuum Pump Delete question - stomis - 05-09-2013 Alright thanks much! |
