Problem Mercedes om601 Injection Pump - pedro_reis - 05-30-2013 Hello, The area marked in red in the image of my injector pump broke, then I welded part that broke. After mounting the injector pump in the car, the car never worked well. The idle is fickle, the up and down rotation in the idle, and poor output. The injection pump is mounted in the correct timing (15 ° ATDC). After welding don't see any exterior damage in the injection pump. It is possible the injector pump have suffered damage inside? Did you use the special Mercedes tool for timing to 15°ATDC or did you do the timing via drip method? For the drip method timing you need 24°BTDC instead of 15°ATDC.
