oil pressure send line repair - poleshady - 08-16-2013 Any one what fittings are needed to splice two cut oil pressure lines together or where to get them? I went to the specialty hose shop, they didnt have any metric stuff that size. right now to hold it i sanded both ends, got a tight fitting hose that goes over the lines epoxied and hose clamped it on. I really dont trust it and dont want to drive it like that for very long. RE: oil pressure send line repair - Simpler=Better - 08-16-2013 On a 617 the filter end has a metal guy with barbs that the plastic line pushes over. I *think* the gauge side is the same. You might have luck measuring the line, going on McMasterCarr.com and finding a similar sized line rated for oil (also at least 150psi at say 120°C). The old line can be removed with a lighter and some pliers. If you just want to join them mcmaster should have metric compression fittings, make sure you get the ones that have a small metal insert to keep the line from collapsing |
