WTB: OM616 240d motor - wolverine - 10-06-2013
Looking for 616 motor to put in my 81 240D.
It developed a new noise back in January, I pulled the oil filter and it was full of metal so I quit driving it.
I dont necessarily need all the accessories, a long block would do if thats how it must be. But a good known running engine is a must. I search CL daily and see 1 or 2 on Ebay every now and then, but really want something local. I rarely see any 240s at pullapart, plus I really dont want to try and pull a motor at that place...
Let me know what yall got or if you have any leads for one in the north metro Atlanta area. I miss my MPGs and the line of traffic behind me

I don't know if he still has it, but he had the engine and 4-speed out of a running parts vehicle in Memphis, and the price was pretty good last I checked. Hes open to delivery options too. Only what, 400 miles away? good weekend road trip!

Oh yeah, I had seen that post but quit reading the rest cause he said he was using the motor in another car. Guess I should have gone to the last page
