on the w202 c250 i have a garret gt25c turbo fitted but on the E300n they have a KKK k14 turbo fitted, from what i can see they both have the 3 bolt exhaust flange so either will fit the standard c250 manifold... just wondering if anyone knows if the kkk turbo as its off the e300 is this a slightly bigger turbo or what... am thinking of getting a hybrid turbo fitted over the winter but was wondering if the e300 kkk turbo would be a much cheaper slight upgrade to the garret gt 25c thats fitted as standard....
anyone got any ideas

Most of this is from memory but i'm 99% sure, the exhaust flange is the same, 3 bolt triangle which is slightly different again to new CDi turbos. The oil feed is different but I think the return is the same. The exhaust flange is bigger on the KKK and comes out straight whereas the GT is angled slightly to avoid the bulkhead of the w202. The KKK is bigger, but the exhaust housing is still on the small side for any real power gains and causes high egts. It's probably not worth the effort unless you got the turbo very cheap.

ok thanks for the answer, am still trying to decide what to do here as anything but the original turbo would need a different exhaust manifold i suppose, will probably end up using my original garret 25c and getting it hybrid up..

I'd ask a few companies on what can be done first to get an idea of what they can do. The exhaust manifold is ok for 300+ and you can use a small adapter to fit a different turbo.
Turbo Dynamics list new GT25C turbos, I know they do hybrids so might be worth asking.

Dont know of anywhere, quite easy to make though. It might need to be more than just a plate as the engine mount is close to the exhaust housing depending on the turbo.
