VE Pumped Ford ZSD420 engines - HughF_UK - 10-14-2013 http://youtu.be/WzoiVdSclpA Been running 2 of these in a 25ft cabin cruiser - working well now. Spot the OM606 turbo RE: VE Pumped Ford ZSD420 engines - MFSuper90 - 10-14-2013 Interesting, I recently converted my Perkins 318 to a VE style pump. What pumps do they have from the factory? And about what hp do they produce? RE: VE Pumped Ford ZSD420 engines - HughF_UK - 10-16-2013 115hp with a VP44... the common rail version was 130hp stock. RE: VE Pumped Ford ZSD420 engines - Tito - 10-17-2013 These are great engines. But they have quite a bit of turbo lag. The turbo is quite big compared to the engine size. RE: VE Pumped Ford ZSD420 engines - HughF_UK - 10-18-2013 The common rail ones in the mk3 mondeo pull like a stabbed rat... Never driven a ST-tdci, but with 155hp they ought to shift. I have the 2.4 in tddi and tdci form. The tddi is a stock 90hp, but the tdci is a remapped 100, it's about 125-130 and goes very well. It's the 4 cyl version of the 200hp 5 cyl that is coming to the US in the Transit next year. Currently in the ranger and mk7 transit over here. |
