W123 Wagon w/ BMW M30b35 Drift Car - MrUkrainian - 11-12-2013

Hey guys, I've been thinking lately and really would like to build a drift car. I have a w123 wagon that I used as a parts car for my other 123 that would make a perfect candidate. Do you guys think the bmw m30b35 would fit in the bay? What kinds of custom fabrication do you think would need to be done besides motor mounts, driveshaft, and that kind of stuff. What kind of rear end would i use? Would this swap be doable? I know it wouldn't be a diesel anymore, but I still thought I should post my idea on here. lol Thanks a lot guys.

Not being funny, just trying to help... but posting about putting a Petrol BMW engine into a Mercedes body on a forum dedicated to Mercedes Super Turbo Diesel engines may be pitching your idea at the wrong blokes Wink

Just my 10c

Agree. But cool project! The old m30's are wery good engines if your goal is around 6-700whp!

If you aint gunna stay MBZ You could always stuff a 4bt in there... At least you'd have the fuel and induction right.

Besides being lower rpm and on the heavy side, they make good power. 200hp on the a turned up VE pump, and more with calibrated p pump. All you really need is adequate air and some injectors
