cost to rebuild a 617? - giezy - 11-27-2013
I have a a 83 300 123 wagon that I am going to buy it was from north Carolina and is rust free but the current owner blew a oil cooler line. Now the motor runs and does not knock but seames really tight like it spun a bearing.
Would it be a good idea to have this motor rebuilt? Or just get a used motor? I can buy another complete car but they are high milage and don't know the sevice history?

start with your location...
if US ..Metric Motors is you choice
it is expensive if done properly.
how high is mentioned mileage?...if compression is good go for
second option....it is much cheaper

or a 606/603 injection pump would work to!but wait this is to be a Daliy driver,not a hot rod ,,,yet!
