What should I get for christmas? - Simpler=Better - 12-16-2013 The wifey wants to get me something but I can't think of what I need besides a 1/4" ratchet set...what should I ask for? RE: What should I get for christmas? - MFSuper90 - 12-16-2013 Hmmm. Big pump? Or guns, can't go wrong with guns. My dad wants a Barrett .50 cal for Christmas RE: What should I get for christmas? - JB3 - 12-17-2013 Ive had good results with requesting a gift certificate to some fabulous restaurant. The gift that keeps on giving, plus its a great romantic evening thing for you and the wife. People couldn't figure out what to give me for years, as I really only want tools and/or car parts and im a much better judge of what I need to buy than a relative. Requesting a food gift like that lets them research something you might not otherwise have any idea exists, and its a one time use thing that rewards the stomach. last year I went to this incredible Ande's mountain theme Peruvian place and had some guinea pigs. Delicious RE: What should I get for christmas? - CRD4x4 - 12-17-2013 Tell her to get you this (then add 617): http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/4239214904.html RE: What should I get for christmas? - sassparilla_kid - 12-18-2013 Guns. RE: What should I get for christmas? - Simpler=Better - 12-19-2013 LOL this is Balamer, they use shanks in these parts. I might go for the dinner thing-since hacksaw blades are $10 and deemed unromantic/ creepy depending on the scenario RE: What should I get for christmas? - JB3 - 12-20-2013 (12-19-2013, 07:44 AM)Simpler=Better LOL this is Balamer, they use shanks in these parts. hacksaw blades? you should ask for a sawzall then if you don't have one. I have a ryobi one im very pleased with RE: What should I get for christmas? - Simpler=Better - 12-20-2013 I got an awesome DeWalt cordless a few years back, but it's on loan to my stepdad. I've only needed to hacksaw 3 times in the last few years, so my M-F-SNAPON hacksaw gets all the lovin' Seriously, go buy a snapon hacksaw. You won't look back. It's cast aluminum with a rubber coating. No flex, no wobble, it's sturdy as all get-out. You have an upright blade pin and a 45* blade pin. Awesome. RE: What should I get for christmas? - JB3 - 12-21-2013 (12-20-2013, 03:14 PM)Simpler=Better I got an awesome DeWalt cordless a few years back, but it's on loan to my stepdad. I have a very similar looking cast aluminum hacksaw that is pretty decent. Came from ace hardware for 25 bucks. I like snapon equipment, but its beyond affordable IMO generally. I have a snap on torque wrench, a couple of picks, and a regular ratchet. The value of these 4 items (especially the torque wrench) is a lot higher than all my other tools combined. RE: What should I get for christmas? - vettelover - 12-21-2013 Com on guys... this is a Christmas gift. Go big or go home! I asked for a new gun safe. Unless that giant thing she hid in the garage isn't a gun safe then I'll be a monkeys uncle. Id ask for a OM617a spare engine. Then you have something else to play with and mule for test parts. Or just general tinkering. RE: What should I get for christmas? - MFSuper90 - 12-21-2013 (12-21-2013, 11:13 AM)vettelover Com on guys... this is a Christmas gift. Go big or go home!
