will that bolt up to my 2.5 turbo?
that seems a much more viable option than hacking up the .961 intake manifold

Yes, it will bolt on. I've seen one of the Finns do something similar with a 603 manifold, making a log to weld on the end.

Look at the valve order I,E,I,E,I,E.... of the 2.5 and our 3.0 ie E,I,I,E,E,I...., I just thought it is neet to see the changes.

is the 602.961 the same order as the n/a?

Thats because the 617 has the manifolds on the same side. The 60x engines have them on opposite sides of the head, so its really I,I,I,I,I and E,E,E,E,E.

I was gonna say, I think the Zündfolge (firing order) on my 602 was different than 12345, lol
I am glad to have a cross-flow head - those same side ones on the 616 and 617 just a bit too old school for me :p

Valve order form the front on Oom601,602 and 603 is EI, EI, EI, EI; EI; EI:
Exhaust first, then intake every other time.
