OM 648 rebuild - bqik - 03-09-2014 Hello I have an om 648 in a w211. I have the engine disassembled to rebuild because it lost oil and 2 pistons are KO. I have to clean the walls of the cylinders and put new pistons. the engine has 200.000km , should I change other items? as the chain? or connecting rods? would like to know what mods would you do internally before assembling it. my goal is 270-280 hp and 600Nm, do stock internals are ok for that ? I've been modding cars, but just petrol ones. thanks! RE: OM 648 rebuild - bqik - 03-11-2014 So, as this is the best forum found for Diesel tuning MB would like to know if you think it's necessary to upgrade internals to achieve 270-280hp and 600Nm regards RE: OM 648 rebuild - Eric78 - 03-11-2014 (03-11-2014, 04:14 AM)bqikOther people are more knowledgable than me but I'm pretty sure an OM648 should handle that easily on stock internals, 0M605s can do 400hp+ on stock internals. |
