w210 Stage 2 speedtuningusa group buy. - 97e300 - 03-17-2014
Hey guys,
So after speaking to Oliver at SpeedTuningUSA, I want to get a feel for who would be down for a group buy of the stage 2 tune with egr kill. It would have to be money up front to them so commitment gentlemen and we need at least 10 people. Normal going price is 375 and the group buy will be 250 per head. This is for 1998 & 1999 e300 models only (maybe 97 too if thats what you're into). +50hp +100nm for 250 is sick. If you're down, post.

Spoke to Oliver. The 275 is for their stage 1 tune and 375 is for the stage 2. The ST2 provides up to +60hp and 100nm as well as egr kill.

Michael (97E300), This thread will be the staging area. It may be easier to make one of the more popular forums the main staging area since more people will be registered and have usernames/passwords there, but I'll let you make that call, Michael. Oliver was helped by a guy named Mario who originally supplied the test vehicle for the E300, the Stage 1, the Stage 2, and Stage 3 and custom tunes. Tested on Mario's car. If we can find Mario he might also get some more people. I think we should try for $199 in a group buy also. Mario could help us with this on tech support, and negotiation. Or he might could help other ways. There are more tuners now than there used to be. I'm not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. It will be a Win-Win-Win all the way around for everyone if we can make the deal happen. Even at a discount, they are getting cold hard cash on 10 more sales than they would have had if we had not put it together.

Please no flame wars, if you expressed interest, and it was misread we can all please be polite here. Just send a PM, and I'll edit the post. Just putting it down on paper the sort of Go/NoGos when we move on later to sorting out all of the details. If you want in, get in now as they will be asking $410 for all of these later as they charge by it on an À la carte method of pricing, even though it is no more work on the tuner to upload a different file for things, ie(stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, MAF, EGR, ect) À la carte adds up quick. Many thanks to Michael for being the liaison to get the dialog going with Oliver.

Hey guys, it has been a while since the last update to the group buy, I know. Some of the people on the list have not gotten back to me since they originally conveyed interest. So right now, I have the contact info of about 8 including myself. Maybe that'll be enough for some kind of discount. If not, I'm thinking of just paying my full tune. The tune is a very nice starting point for further upgrades in my opinion. I have not dyno'd the car but it definitely feels quicker than stock. The turbo, if I remember it, spools up earlier and harder. Is it going to turn your w210 from a stock diesel sedan to a race car? Definitely not. But it'll land you somewhere in between.
That being said, I am looking into upgrading elements and turbo when I find the right price.
