size of turbo 290tdt vs 250dt - swampmonkey - 03-21-2014
hey there.
seems the exhaust-manifold from a 290tdt om602 engine, fits a om602.962 2.5 liter engine.
got a 2.5 liter om602 with 180cc pump, and stock turbo, gives me 1.6 bar of boost, spools early.
also got a 290tdt standing witch i can steal the manifold from, is the turbo any bigger than what i already got? any advantages? different flanges of the manifold etc etc? dont want to much backpressure, and looking into my turbo options.

I was thinking some similar to this but with a om662la musso's turbo charger bolted onto a 605's exhaust manifold as the turbo flange looks the same , just need to find the difference between the two turbos

checked the car, the om602.982 290TDT had the triangular shaped flange, if i remember correctly the om602.962 250dt had more of a rectangular shaped flange....
the turbo might be a tad bigger on the 290tdt thou.
