RE: best way to lower w124 estate - jdmonlyb18 - 10-15-2014 (10-02-2014, 05:11 PM)raysorenson Can just adjust the height sensor linkage to drop the rear?Hello yeah I tried that need lower springs it won't go any lower with standard springs I can't seem to find any lowering springs for the sls I am going to convert to normal shocks and springs from a saloon see how that works RE: best way to lower w124 estate - yatzee - 10-18-2014 there are H&R springs available for that car, or you could go with sportline springs http://www.hrsprings.com/application/search/results/25/419/1990 RE: best way to lower w124 estate - jdmonlyb18 - 10-22-2014 (10-18-2014, 03:36 PM)yatzee there are H&R springs available for that car, or you could go with sportline springsthanks i will keep them in mind RE: best way to lower w124 estate - Gasoil - 01-20-2015 In my W124 Estate 300D I removed the SLS system, all, pump, reservoir, lines, rear spheres, shocks, lever and height regulator... fitted Nissan Terrano-Ford Maverick Bilstein front shocks, I don´t like much how them works, perhaps need fit them at a lower point in the arms, making some pieces of metal and welding to the arms, or perhaps the Bilstein I fitted (used) are a bit tired. Note the shocks works as a bit soft in road holes. Also fitted rear sway bar from W210 420 V8, 18,2mm vs 14,65mm stock. Also with H&R springs brown colour, but now the original ones, in the annual inspection they said me change the H&R by the original springs. You can´t fit the Sedan rear shocks in the Estate, Sedan are very long. RE: best way to lower w124 estate - ccrelan - 01-20-2015 The best lowering option is to use OEM 500e springs and whatever spring pads you want. You can also use R129 springs as they have SLS as well. RE: best way to lower w124 estate - Hario' - 01-20-2015 100mm of cement spread along the floor RE: best way to lower w124 estate - jdmonlyb18 - 01-26-2015 yeah found that out lol im going to make a shock tower in the trunk dont really care about looks will post a pic when its finished if i dont it looks to bad lol (01-20-2015, 01:32 PM)Gasoil In my W124 Estate 300D I removed the SLS system, all, pump, reservoir, lines, rear spheres, shocks, lever and height regulator... fitted Nissan Terrano-Ford Maverick Bilstein front shocks, I don´t like much how them works, perhaps need fit them at a lower point in the arms, making some pieces of metal and welding to the arms, or perhaps the Bilstein I fitted (used) are a bit tired. I had them on the car and sold them. 500e springs are far stiffer than any h&r springs. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w124-e-ce-d-td-class/2002041-info-pics-various-springs-my-95-a.html RE: best way to lower w124 estate - jdmonlyb18 - 01-28-2015 thanks for the info i already have the h&r springs fitted look ok haven't tested yet due to the rear shock problem (01-26-2015, 05:34 PM)ccrelan The drop with brown wagon h&r's is uneven- the front gets slammed.
