anyone here running a homemade fuel vaporizer?

I'm not even sure that'd work in a diesel.

At least for the IDI's, that's the design, no? Would further/sooner vaporization return much if any benefit?

Pretty sure that angle was tapped to diminishing status by the respective manufacturers tho. Then tech for the new engines arrives and meets cost effective and veye-o-la! New design.

All else being equal, the possibility for improvement exists whatever the widget/process/idea/etc. If you're looking for inspiration, a search on this forum would uncover some dabbling in that area, I vaguely remember reading similar ideas here somewhere.

I'm not sure how a fuel vaporizer would work in our IDI engines but I've often wondered about using an ultrasonic fogger (from tabletop waterfall fountains) to fog the intake charge air with methanol and/or water.
I haven't done any experiments yet and idk if it could be made to keep up with the volume of airflow.
I doubt it would be able to fog fuel (gas or diesel) w/o major mods.
You should give it a try!

It makes you smarter is what we'd laugh about when in that state... Smile
However I think you might have a burned hair pic to post if you tried this.
