Found this on ebay.de and thought it was interesting...

That bell-housing will bolt up to a gear box (transmission) from a G class 4X4 application

that looks like the adapter plate from a 616/617 to manual trans ie 716
adapter plate could be made to bolt on the G265/6.

Could be interesting... this bell is for the newer engines though, the starter is on the opposite side from where a 617 engine would have it. If this would bolt to a getrag from an older BMW that might be pretty sweet.

I've got one of those older Getrags (265/6) and a 606 both sitting, waiting for a solution like this.
Why did the money grinch have to go and spend all my $$?!
