EMP - ForcedInduction - 08-12-2009 This idea just popped into my head. Since the manifolds are off the 240, I should make a port cover plate, attach my air pressure regulator and test what psi the exhaust valves naturally pop open. The current belief is that 30psi is the maximum safe exhaust manifold pressure. RE: EMP - tomnik - 08-12-2009 Why do you need this info? you will always have an (heavier ?) influence of kinematics that will cause a delay in valve closing. The highest engine loads come with vanes open (less restriction). RE: EMP - tomnik - 08-12-2009 do you believe you already have issues or just for the future? Wouldn't the issues come from high revs rather than backpressure? Tom RE: EMP - ForcedInduction - 08-12-2009 (08-12-2009, 06:24 AM)tomnik do you believe you already have issues or just for the future?Mainly to make use of already having the manifolds off. Quote:Wouldn't the issues come from high revs rather than backpressure?Backpressure doesn't help the situation. RE: EMP - tantank79 - 08-12-2009 DO IT!! |
