Quick one-view reference to distinquish between Turbo & n/a heads: ^this is especially usefull for us europeans since a lot of Turbo engines have got n/a heads as replacement... Apart from thicker walled water jackets, the Turbo pre-chambers have a bigger diameter "neck" and increased internal volume. According to the workshop manual, Turbo engines have natrium filled valves And the head casting numbers. They do not refere to the part number in the EPC! OM603 Turbo: - 603 016 14 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 15 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 17 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 18 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 20 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 22 01 [confirmed] OM603 naturaly aspirated: - 603 016 XX 01 - 603 016 10 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 16 01 [confirmed] - 603 016 XX 01 "XX" because I guess there are more revisions of this head? The factory manual doesn't list them, though.
