Alda adjustment on OM606 - kashi123 - 04-14-2015
Hello,
I have a G wagen with OM606 and mechanical pump with 6mm elements.
Bedore I send my pump off to dieselmeken for 7.5 mm to help on increase low torque for my g wagen I would first like to adjust my alda. This made a huge difference on my old 617a so would like to give it a go!
But I have the round style alda instead of the more common flat style one. Mine is the same as in the picture attached
Question is how do I adjust one of these, can i screw out the set screw or should I shim it up a bit, can this even be done?

Why on earth do you want to adjust the Alda before sending the pump to get big elements?
If it has a screw on top, just turn it...

he he he , alda on those pumps dont increase any fuel. they limit fuel untill boost is present. but irespetive of that the pump will deliver almost the same amount of fuel.
if u want the alda to stop restricting , remove the screw out, all the way out is the same as remove the device.

Thank you for your replies, I didn't explain my intentions very well.
Last weekend my hydraulic pump broke off its mountings so that means I need to dissassemble the whole left side of the car to get to it and weld it back. As I am there anyway it will give me acces to the pump. And as I going on another trip in a few weeks I cant get the pump to dieselmeken in time.
Just looking for a bit more oomph from standstill for the mountains in Croatie!

Adjusting the Alda will only make you smoke off boost. No real advantage...

Ok, message understood. The pump is now on its way to Sweden !
