Installing my crower regrinds. - TurboTim - 05-30-2015 So I got my Crower regrinds. Took longer then I wanted so I have not been on the forum for a while. It looks like on the intake the base circle is 1.500 and then they grinder it down to 1.350. I had them keep both intake and exhaust under 10mm lift. They gave me .085 shims for the intake. It's weird though when the cams are installed and locked in place I can pore liquid in the intake port and it comes out the exhaust? Is it possible the lifters can spring open just sitting. I didn't have any shims at all on the exhaust so I can't even explain how that valve would be open. RE: Installing my crower regrinds. - barrote - 05-30-2015 u can have a lifter problema!!!! u´re using the hyd lifters or u changed to mech tappets? if the valves are opened something is making them open, or they dont seal properly, can be that as well. regards RE: Installing my crower regrinds. - raysorenson - 05-30-2015 Lifters pump up all the time when you mess w/the motor. Have you never started a motor that sounded like no compression and missed for a while than smoothed out? That's lifters. RE: Installing my crower regrinds. - TurboTim - 05-30-2015 You were correct Raysorenson. They sat overnight and everything sealed up nice! |
