Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-17-2015 A question to see what you think .... I rode a hx40w with a garrett exhaust Hausing ar84 (something between 11 and 12cm Holset Hausing) in my om605 with 7.5mm elements ... But it does not work, in the first, second, and almost all the third speed will hardly turbocharged ... You think it's normal to be like this? RE: Hx40w in om605 - Booster - 07-18-2015 No that's not normal. My equally sized holset is producing ok boost in those gears with standard elements. RE: Hx40w in om605 - NZScott - 07-18-2015 Yea remember it is a big turbo for a 2.5L - think they're meant for more like 8L engines??? RE: Hx40w in om605 - Booster - 07-18-2015 (07-18-2015, 01:25 AM)NZScott Yea remember it is a big turbo for a 2.5L - think they're meant for more like 8L engines??? My h1c which is similar size on 605 spools late but produces around 25psi at 4000rpm This is with standard elements and just resistor mod. 7.5mm elements should be providing plenty of fuel to get that bad boy spinning. RE: Hx40w in om605 - Booster - 07-18-2015 Have you got a boost gauge hooked up? What's the wastegate doing? Tried keeping it shut and seeing what it does? RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-18-2015 The turbo had a housing 18cm exhaust then applied a garret of 84ar which is near 11cm Holset exhaust housing ... I knew it would be lag, but do not think normal that evil can put pressure on first gears .. RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-18-2015 (07-18-2015, 08:54 AM)Booster Have you got a boost gauge hooked up? What's the wastegate doing? Tried keeping it shut and seeing what it does? I just changed the turbo he had the HX40, the car was pulling very well with the turbo he had, but how I spent 7mm elements (dieselkontor) to 7.5mm (dieselmeken) I've become much more debit I looked for a larger turbo but not It's going fine ... RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-18-2015 The car was thus with the old turbo 2.5bar with the elements of 7.5mm.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKRdeCDpGWw RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-18-2015 which of these two tables think is right? 9cm^2 - .48 A/R 12cm^2 - .63 A/R 16cm^2 - .83 A/R 18cm^2 - 1.00 A/R 9cm2 = 0.65 A/R 12cm2 = 0.89 A/R 16cm2 = 1.13 A/R 18cm2 = 1.37 A/R RE: Hx40w in om605 - [486] - 07-19-2015 (07-18-2015, 02:23 PM)bruno_pinho which of these two tables think is right? They don't directly convert, they are different measurements. A 9cm^2 hx30 might be something like .65 a/r while a 22cm^2 hx80 might be 1.2 a/r RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-20-2015 (07-19-2015, 11:25 PM)[486](07-18-2015, 02:23 PM)bruno_pinho which of these two tables think is right? What if I have a hx35 with 12cm exhaust housing which I have AR? RE: Hx40w in om605 - barrote - 07-20-2015 camarada bruno , adquira um gt23V(C30) e aplique uma MSF 63, isso deve resolver o seu problema. sorry for the mother language. was just saying that holsets are crap.... RE: Hx40w in om605 - bruno_pinho - 07-21-2015 (07-20-2015, 04:10 PM)barrote camarada bruno , one gt23v to make a car to use day by day with 230 to 250cv believe give, but to do more than 350cv which is what I want to do is out of the question, is too small ... RE: Hx40w in om605 - Hario' - 07-22-2015 How did you fit the small Garrett turbine housing without changing the turbine wheel? Surely the problem is your turbo still has a turbine wheel to suit an 18cm2 housing (i.e. still far too big). this is evidenced by your lack of boost until third gear.. THIRD! |
