My W123 with om605 turbo - Dieseeelstar - 08-31-2015 Hello! so i bought this w123 and my goal was to have a cheap and reliable daily driver, so i decided to find a om605. Sadly i dont have many pictures throughout the project since everything was pretty easy and straight forward surprisingly, but i will try to help you guys if you have any questions. Engine Engine Driver side engine arm from 601 makes a perfect fit Passenger Side Also from 601 fits perfectly And a bad picture of the car atm. What can you get a om605 turbo engine for price wise over there? I'm looking to import one eventually for my s123. RE: My W123 with om605 - EmJay - 08-31-2015 Very nice! RE: My W123 with om605 - Dieseeelstar - 09-01-2015 Was bored today so decided to adjust fuel screw to prepare for the upcoming turbo convert, were is the easiest place to make a oil return for the turbo? RE: My W123 with om605 - Tito - 09-01-2015 The stock oil return for turbo engines is also there on n/a engines. It's near the 2/3 cylinder just above the oil sump. Just drill it with a 12/13mm hole and m6 at both sides. That way it's just like a turbo engine. RE: My W123 with om605 - Dieseeelstar - 09-23-2015 So i found a turbo engine instead and decied to put it in so heres the result, but i have a problem i got no boost and it almost have no power i have connect the wastegate to direct vacuum. The ip is from a 605 naturally aspirated with rs 201 and turned up max on the fuel screw. RE: My W123 with om605 - Petar - 09-23-2015 EGR valve leaking ?? Try removing it completely. Try removing it completely. RE: My W123 with om605 turbo - STDGer - 09-25-2015 Are u using thr original turbo? Ive the same engine in my cklass. Test connecting the wastegate to a vacuum line of the engine, not to the pressure site oft the turbo. RE: My W123 with om605 turbo - Repetitio - 09-26-2015 i had that problem too dieseeelstar, i dont know how much electric you have, but in my case the car was going into limp mode without showing it. I have a mechanical ip so no electrics and The wastegate is directly connected to The vacum pump so it has vacum all the time. RE: My W123 with om605 turbo - MrHope - 10-19-2015 The original garrett turbo has a vaccum controlled wastegate , not boost controlled like the older ones, try attach vaccum when engine is running to see if it moves. RE: My W123 with om605 turbo - Dieseeelstar - 10-21-2015 Seems to work now i had a vacum leak. |
