w126 woes - awsrock - 09-10-2015 I finally got my hands on a 140 manifold and am learning the hard way that this and the 55 trim turbo don't fit in my engine bay!! What a disaster. Anyway, does anyone out there know if an HX30 is smaller on the turbine housing than the garrett? I need like 1" of clearance, current setup is hitting my spring mount. On another note, does anyone know if an HX30 will fit the crappy US spec manifold? I avoided one originally because of the oil feed and exhaust fab, but I have basically needed to do both for this swap (hack sawed my original oil feed...which I will be needing now) so I might go for it now if I can.... RE: w126 woes - TurboTim - 09-10-2015 I ran an eBay T3T4 turbo so I would think it would fit. RE: w126 woes - awsrock - 09-10-2015 Was that with the trap-ox manifold? I'm actually surprised that w124 people can manage this w140 manifold, I thought I had all the room in the world...I guess you guys have spring housings that are out of the way. ....I probably won't ever make enough power to need an HX30 or the w140 manifold, but hey, tinkering is fun right? Depending on how this all pans out, I may have some things for sale... RE: w126 woes - TurboTim - 09-10-2015 Yes with trapox mani |
