Manual to automatic conversion - Oddi16 - 10-04-2015 hey i am going to buy a w201 with om603 engine. it is now manual, but i am thinking about putting in an automatic gearbox. what do i need to get this working? RE: Manual to automatic conversion - Tito - 10-04-2015 The auto trans, starterring / flexplate, torque converter (and the corresponding bolts), shorter driveshaft, gearbox mount, gear selector with linkage, bowden linkage, some vacuum lines, P/N and R switches should be connected, kick down switch. You could choose to just dump the clutch pedal, or swap pedal cluster. Oh, and I think there's some kind of vacuum regulating valve controlled bij the throttle lever on the pump, to control shift firmness. You'll need that too. RE: Manual to automatic conversion - Druk - 10-05-2015 Radiator with cooler and gearbox oil cooling pipes. Possibly inlet manifold with associated bellcranks to suit gearbox pull cable linkage?
