1970 Jeep 240D 5 speed etc.,etc. - maxxx - 10-19-2015 I have a 1970 Postal Jeep with a 65,000 mile 616 240D engine mated to a AX15 5 speed transmission with a Dana 300 transfercase....and I turbo intercooled it. Has 4.27 gears with 31" tires. All the hard work is done. Countless hours have been spent making this Jeep the easiest and most simple setup. Too much to list but I will say everything has been replaced. Get's about 28-30 mpg freeway or street. I have the 4.27 front end and I have yet to install it out of lazyness. No other reason. Pretty cool Jeep $4200 RE: 1970 Jeep 240D 5 speed etc.,etc. - maxxx - 10-19-2015 (10-19-2015, 11:58 PM)maxxx I have a 1970 Postal Jeep with a 65,000 mile 616 240D engine mated to a AX15 5 speed transmission with a Dana 300 transfercase....and I turbo intercooled it.
