606 Front Pulley Pickup - fire-host - 12-10-2015 Hi Guys, I'm after a pick-up to get an RPM signal using a multiple of 0.5/1/2/3 to the crank. As far as I can work out, the CPS uses 6 timing pips. So no use. I've noticed on the front pulley, there is a pick-up. On the timing mark bracketry above the timing marks on the pulley, there's also an empty hole and a peice of threaded bar which looks like it may be designed to hold a sensor, maybe on another engine which the same pulley is used on. Does anybody know which this is and the sensor used for pickup? Kinda looks like the sort of sensor seen below the Yellow arrow on the pic! RE: 606 Front Pulley Pickup - hents99 - 12-11-2015 It should be for checking TDC ? This engine looks like M103. RE: 606 Front Pulley Pickup - fire-host - 12-11-2015 Quite likely it's for TDC, but if I can utilise it for an RPM pickup, it'd make a nice clean install. Wonder if that M103 engine runs the same bracket. Need to try and fine the code! RE: 606 Front Pulley Pickup - hents99 - 12-11-2015 This sensor is not used. M103 has 3 timing marks on flywheel and sensor mounted through block. RE: 606 Front Pulley Pickup - fire-host - 12-11-2015 Not sure what you mean Hents ( thank you for the replies by the way ). I'm only trying to find a nice clean way of reading RPM with the multipliers above. Just thought that seemed like a perfect point! Save messing around with after-market stuff. |
