1981 300SD needs engine - DrewGerhan - 12-11-2015
My daily driver is changing. The engine is coming out and going into a Wrangler. This leaves the rest of the car to sit out back next to the barn, I'd rather not have that.
I'm not ready to go through parting it out just yet, I'd rather sell it as a whole. Title is clear and in my name. The interior is in great shape. Only blemishes are a couple dash cracks and the top of the rear seat stiching is separating. Odometer stopped two months ago at 235,001. Likely has 5,000 more now. The gear that's bad is the small 12 tooth one (had a replacement, but I lost it). Transmission shifts beautifully, nice and tight with no flare or slip. Rear CV shafts are in good shape. Just did rear pads, rotors and 1 caliper. The tires are 8 months old and are hardly worn. The car has Bosch euro lights and a factory fire extinguisher.
Why am I taking the motor? The car does have rust. I have a previous thread where I repaired a lot of it, but there is more to do and I'd rather have another 4x4. Nothing structural or else I'd scrap it than try to find it a new hhome

If you want to buy the whole car, make me an offer and I'll find another motor. It's still intact and I will be driving it everyday until around Christmas time.
My thought was $750 obo for the car minus motor. Make me an offer as I'd rather see someone get it than see it in the horse pasture as decoration.
