Om 603 - 606 Engine Angle - zeeman - 03-21-2016
Anyone know if the 603 and 606 engines sit at the same angle. The 606 seems to be setting at about 15 degrees. I bought a GM transmission to 603-606 engine adapter from a company and when the transmission pan is level the engine oil pan and valve cover are not. Thought maybe the adapter was made to a 603 and the angle was different.

The 606 sits at an angle. The sump and engine cover should be sitting parallel to the ground. The 722.6 that came bolted to them from factory has the correct orientation and sits level. My 6 speed is also slightly off. I guess that's just the way it is.

As far as I know they sit at same angle and use same mounts.

The Block is the same and like turbo Tim same mounts I swap the 606 for a 603 in a 95 E300 I use all accessories from the 606 on the 603
