Impromtu Race - Rudolf_Diesel - 09-27-2009
I was on my way home last night and a Ford F-250 with a 6.0 pulls next to me. I start out normal when the light turned green, but they decided they would try and smoke me out, my windows were down and I guess they wanted me covered with soot. I didn't see any soot but, I dropped it into L and the Rpm's went to 5000 and the motor was screaming - HOLY SHIT!!! I upshifted and pulled away, he was right there trying to keep up, but I had him by a car length. I felt good and the passenger in the truck couldn't belive they got beat by a Benz

that's awesome! I have done the same in my dads 300d as well! It has defiantly surprised a few people!!!

The 6.0 powerchoke has a better power to weight ratio, but that 4 second turbo lag off the line kills any stoplight competitiveness.

It wasn't an off the line "race", we were actually going about 25 mph and they were attempting to give me some soot, and egging on a contest.
