1987 190D 2.5 Turbo 5 speed swapped project car - kamel - 08-15-2016 Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted anything on here. I recently inherited my grandpa's 82 W123 and have too many projects going on so it's time to thin the herd. Bought this car with a blown auto trans so I could swap it to a 5 speed. For those who don't know, this car was only available for one year in the states and was never offered with a manual, making this a unique fun little car. The goods: -5spd manual swap (not fun at all to do but it's done so yay!) -Good power -awesome fuel mileage (40mpg) -great commuter -looks cool -new tires -no major mechanical problems -Recaro heated/cooled seats The not so goods: -A/C doesn't work -rear windows don't roll down -sunroof stuck shut -glow plug circuit doesn't work -needs rear brake pads and rotors -needs new serpentine belt (I broke the belt tension adjuster bolt...what was I thinking!?) I am asking $2,500 or reasonable offer. 225k miles, please take this car off my hands I need it gone ASAP RE: 1987 190D 2.5 Turbo 5 speed swapped project car - kamel - 08-15-2016 Pics upon request RE: 1987 190D 2.5 Turbo 5 speed swapped project car - SurfRodder - 08-16-2016 Where's it located? I would be all over this if I wasn't also trying to reduce my number of projects! RE: 1987 190D 2.5 Turbo 5 speed swapped project car - kamel - 08-16-2016 It's in Santa Clarita CA, just north of LA. On a side note, didn't I sell you a 4 spd a few years ago? RE: 1987 190D 2.5 Turbo 5 speed swapped project car - SurfRodder - 08-18-2016 possibly...i've bought quite a few over the years, but usually grab them every time I see one in the yards to keep them from the scrapper....so I usually sell them. |
