Want to buy: Mechanical pump, fuel lines. - Evgeniy1987 - 09-15-2016 Hi, guys! I have a request: For a project that will contribute to the STD world, I would like to: - buy a 6-cilinder mechanically controlled pump with a HIGH output. Mechanical is easier for me to use on the test bench. I am going to do measurements on the pump, so I need basically worst case scenario. And a high output, high RPM, 6-cilinder pump is worst case. I really need a heavily loaded pump. --------------------------------------------- - I need a timing device that will fit the pump, but it may be bad. For example worn chain-gear or worn vacuum-pump-race with pitting or whatever.. As long as it is not bent or broken or something, and the splines for the pump are still there and in good condition to not mess up the pump. I would buy it for a fair price, not borrow: I will have to heavily modify it. --------------------------------------------- SOLVED. - I also need fuel lines... A guy with a pretty rocking OM605 (STDGer ... makes 2.5 Bar boost with smoke) offered me his car for testing. Thus I need either a set of OM605 or a set of OM606 fuel lines.. I will cut them to install pressure sensors... I am busy on a project to get rid of the timing device, which I consider imperfect ( I am sorry ) The project is described in "Projects" ( I live in the Netherlands.) Kind regards, Evgeniy RE: Want to buy OR to borrow: Mechanical pump and timing device. - SurfRodder - 09-16-2016 For the drive side you could likely modify this tool to work: http://www.samstagsales.com/mercedes/mb601589000800.jpg Part# 601 589 00 08 00, Splined wrench, used to turn the injection pump. here: http://www.samstagsales.com/mercedes.htm RE: Want to buy OR to borrow: Mechanical pump and timing device. - Evgeniy1987 - 09-16-2016 WOW!! That is exactly right suitet for the purpose! Waaaay less machining required, and will do the work! Thank you very much for that RE: Want to buy OR to borrow: Mechanical pump and injectors, fuel lines. - barrote - 09-18-2016 hehe, strange request yours... This pumps are a way more studied than anything else , i dont know which study do u want to do but sure someone already did, u just need to ask the right person/ persons... and of course have access to a bench tester otherwise u wont succedd in anything , not because i´m saying so , but cause u need to put the pump turning for the governor to operate .... or any other device that can turn the pump at diff speeds being the most important 100 to 400RPM. i sure can get u a pump , it wont be like 50usd... but achievable. about the high output thats not so easy, or cheap but too can be done. depending on what u mean by a high output pump. BTW EDC type pumps have the same abilities as the others , with some magic behind PM me for further details or if u are interested in spending some money RE: Want to buy OR to borrow: Mechanical pump and timing device. - SurfRodder - 09-19-2016 (09-16-2016, 01:46 AM)Evgeniy1987 WOW!! That is exactly right suitet for the purpose! Waaaay less machining required, and will do the work! No Problem Brother. Internal Splines are always a pain to get done...good thing someone else already did it...and the price isn't too bad either. Let me know when you're done figuring out whatever it is you're working on. I may be interested in it as well.
