Im looking to purchase a 123/124 variant turbo diesel.. Just dont know where to start.. Is there a guide on here. I have not been able to find one.

W123 and W124 are pretty different.

Totally different animals. I would strongly recommend the 124 over the 123 for a few dozen reasons.
