Wanted to know how to do it? Cant seem to find much. Thanks RE: re-timing injection pump - tomnik - 10-14-2009 (10-13-2009, 10:49 PM)tony597fitter Due to having a catastrophic failure on my 83 300sd, I want to make sure my injection pump is still timed correctly with crank and cam. for the cam timing just look at the marks cam/cam bearing support. What kind of failure? The IP timing should not get lost except the chain jumped. The vac pump broke and a piece of it got stuck in the chain and made the cam into 3 pieces. The timing chain never broke but it did take out a few slides and rails. I have rebuilt just about everything. I wanted to see if it had jumped a tooth or not. How do I check it? RE: re-timing injection pump - winmutt - 10-14-2009 Drip timing. Plenty of threads on this over on peachparts and benzworld. |
