722.6 ML Class Gearbox output splines - ross - 04-06-2017

Does anyone on here know the size of the output splines on an ML class version of the 722.6? Or know where I might find it?

are you asking about the transmission shaft or the output that bolts on??

The output that bolts on, the ~50ish mm diameter female spline.

Well normally you measure diameter and count the splines. So I would say it is 55mm 26 spline. It might be 54mm. I do not have my good calipers here today. Just used some brake calipers
Splines are really standard so you should be able to find the standard sizes

Yeah, but there are all sorts of shapes of spline, lots of different standards.

I need the original specification of the spline so I can have a spline machined to match it on my adaptor shaft.

Ok,
It is the same as the JEEP srt8 and the wranglers with the nv t cases. You might find more info looking for those.

Ross... would you have a measurement from bell housing to the rear output flange that bolts onto the Merc transfer box?

The back face where the adaptor bolts on? There's a small link bit/adaptor on the ML box.

I haven't got the measurement to hand, but I can get it for you?
