Hx40 "Low" and slow boost? - rn180 - 05-23-2017

Hi i just mounted a hx40 14cm2 on my om606 7,5mm dieselmeken pump.
The problem is I feel like the turbo is very slow spooled to be an 14cm2 housing, full boost at 4500-5000rpm. And max boost is 2.1 bar

Is this how the hx40 should perform or is there something wrong?

that sounds like a 14 for you. How is smoke?

Unfortunatly that is the fact...

What turbo should i have to have 3 bar boost?
There is alot of smoke when mine hits 2.1 bar

We run a larger turbo and had the same AR as you currently have and hit max boost around 3500k. Our max boost was 3.5bar. We dropped the AR to .91 but still twin scroll and the turbo starts lighting up 500 rpm sooner. Is your manifold, exhaust and timing all on point?

How much fuel are these pumps set for?

What turbo were you using?

They come set at 140CC of fuel. We've only ran a superstroker pump and not a superpump so I cannot say how they differ in comparing spooling, hp or performance on equivalent fueling levels. The superstroker pump has a more aggressive cam profile and is timed much differently (22 BTDC). Conservatively I would estimate that the pump is currently set to 180-200CC.

Depends on boost control solenoid valve as well. I never use manual boost controllers. Spoolup is approx 300-500rpm lower with EBC.
Wastegate may leak.

Maybe because I haven't got any good MBC.
And EBC is much easier to adjust. Click and works.

Which electronic boost controller do you use?

Seems like not enough boost. Wastegate must be leaking.
