RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - erx - 08-29-2017 What's wrong with stock tensioner? RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - addi.bigg - 08-29-2017 Bushing erodes the shaft and it has play on it after that. Roller bearing won't. RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - maxypriest - 08-29-2017 roller bearing part number? RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - AlanMcR - 08-29-2017 I'm still trying to understand the need for this. Our two OM606A's are at 260K and 290K miles and there is no play in that shaft. Just how many miles are on these engines you are working on? RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - addi.bigg - 08-30-2017 (08-29-2017, 11:50 AM)maxypriest roller bearing part number? HN2520 Full complement roller bearing RE: Alternative solution of the OM605/606 belt tensioner - addi.bigg - 08-30-2017 (08-29-2017, 05:23 PM)AlanMcR I'm still trying to understand the need for this. Our two OM606A's are at 260K and 290K miles and there is no play in that shaft. Just how many miles are on these engines you are working on? It's not a must, you don't do it if you don't need it. My experience regarding solutions on limited turning/ pulsating on a shaft, that bushings wear out fast and erode the shaft. Roller bearings are much more stiff. We will see how this will operate, actually 500kms in it without problem. |
